Liverpool eyeing swoop for Real Madrid defender
Liverpool are reportedly ready to rival Juventus for the summer transfer of Real Madrid right-back Danilo as he struggles to establish himself at the Bernabeu.
The Brazil international has not had the happiest of times since he moved to the Spanish capital from Porto last season, and is no longer a regular in the club’s first-team.
With just nine La Liga appearances to his name this season, reports claim Real could be ready to let Danilo go this summer if they receive a bid in the region of £21million.
Liverpool are among the clubs interested in the 25-year-old, with Jurgen Klopp a fan of his potential and versatility, according to Calciomercato.
Danilo impressed during his time at Porto, sparking interest from top clubs across Europe, and though it hasn’t worked out for him in Madrid, it seems top sides are still ready to gamble on him.
Liverpool would be joined by Juventus in chasing Danilo this summer, with the Italian giants eyeing a long-term replacement for ageing pair Dani Alves and Stephan Lichtsteiner.
