Liverpool have taken the lead in the race for highly-rated young Ukrainian keeper Andriy Lunin.

Lunin, 19, who is 6ft 3in, has been getting rave reviews with club Zorya Luhansk in his homeland after leaving Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk last year.

Lunin, who made his full international debut in March, is also on the radar of top-flight clubs Leicester and Watford.

Zorya turned down a bid for the shot-stopper in January from Spanish club Real Sociedad.

He was then expected to move to Inter Milan this summer but Lunin now fancies a switch to England.

He has been a regular at Zorya this season making 34 appearances including all six of their Europa League group games earlier in the campaign.
