Martin Diggle joined Liverpool's academy as head of coach development in July 2019.
A UEFA A and Advanced Youth award coach and tutor, Martin has been working in player and coach development for over 15 years.
Martin has previously coached at Oldham Athletic and Bolton Wanderers and in 2010 Joined The Football Association as a coach developer.
He progressed to national lead for youth coach development in 2015 managing 20 staff, 92 professional clubs and the FA’s L4 Advanced Youth.
In 2017 Martin was asked to head up all professional game coach development.
He was responsible for the delivery of all professional game L4 and 5 qualifications and CPD, managing 30 plus technical staff as well as working strategically with UEFA, PFA, PL, EFL, and LMA on coach development in the professional game.
Martin’s role at Kirby is to support the development of coaches across the academy and look after the 9-12 age groups.
