Match preview: U18s face West Ham in PL Cup
Liverpool U18s are back in action on Saturday morning when they contest an away tie at West Ham United in the U18 Premier League Cup.
Steven Gerrard's side started Group D in fine style with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Middlesbrough and they will hope to continue that winning formula against the Hammers.
The young Reds will need to top their section - which also includes Sunderland - to ensure a place in the quarter-finals.
The two best second-placed teams in the six groups will also claim a last-eight berth.

Last season head-to-head: The young Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by the Hammers in the end-of-season mini-league back in March. Okera Simmonds fired the U18s into the lead but West Ham snatched a draw courtesy of a 90th-minute penalty in Kirkby.
