Clyne and Lallana deliver tickets to local schoolchildren
Liverpool duo Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana visited Four Oaks Community Primary School this week to deliver tickets to pupils for an upcoming fixture.
After joining in with a Mandarin language lesson with pupils, the England internationals presented children from the Anfield-based school with tickets to the Reds’ home Premier League clash with Chelsea on January 31.
The tickets were handed to the school as part of the club’s young fan initiative, with 55 tickets being provided to local schools in Anfield to watch Jürgen Klopp’s side in the Anfield Road family area.
A total of 25 schools are benefiting from the scheme this season, with 21 primary schools and four high schools all located in the L4, L5 and L6 postcodes being involved with the initiative.
Each school decides upon which pupils should receive the tickets, based on factors such as good attendance, attainment and achievements.
Sara Robinson, head teacher at Four Oaks Community Primary School, said: “It is brilliant to be able to reward pupils with tickets to watch Liverpool FC at Anfield.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to be able to watch some of their favourite players in action and we cannot thank the club enough.”
Lallana said: “It was great for me and Nathaniel to be able to visit Four Oaks to hand over tickets to the pupils. The young fan ticket initiative is a great way to reward those who have performed or behaved well in school with a chance to watch the team in action at Anfield.”
