Liverpool trio Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson and Georginio Wijnaldum explore the importance of food waste and sustainability in a new video with club partner iugis.
As part of its initiative to become more environmentally friendly, the Reds joined forces with iugis last February, incorporating its innovative food waste solution.
iugis’ food waste digester machines – installed at Anfield – transform food waste into water on site, reducing the need for transport and diverting it from landfill.
To help raise further awareness of the subject, Gomez, Robertson and Wijnaldum took part in a quiz that highlighted key facts relating to food waste and its impact on the environment.
The footage will be shared with schools across the United Kingdom to educate the next generation on the benefits of reducing food waste and striving for sustainability.
