Museum launches Gerrard collection
Liverpool FC officially launched the Steven Gerrard Collection on Monday night - an exhibition featuring memorabilia from the departing captain's remarkable Anfield career as he takes the next step in his journey.
Ahead of his move to the United States with LA Galaxy, Gerrard kindly donated his vast collection of match-worn LFC and England shirts, shirts swapped with footballing peers, England caps, medals and trophies to the club museum.
VIP guests were invited to view the exhibition at its launch as the club's director of operations, Andrew Parkinson, cut the ribbon.

The Steven Gerrard Collection is brought to life via multimedia film, with the man himself reflecting on the excitement and emotion of his 17 years at the club.
Highlights of the collection include the match ball, programme and captain’s armband from the 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul, one of the most dramatic nights in LFC's history.
The winner's medal from that unforgettable evening, which has been described as 'priceless' by the man himself, also features in the collection.
