Adam Lallana insists there is plenty more to come from England at Euro 2016 after the Three Lions reached the last 16 with a second-place finish in Group B on Monday night.

The attacker turned in another industrious display alongside Liverpool teammates Nathaniel Clyne, Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge against Martin Skrtel’s resolute Slovakia.

Roy Hodgson’s team dominated the fixture for long periods as they sought the winning goal that would give them top spot, but it ended in a 0-0 stalemate in Saint-Etienne.

Lallana told FATV: “A tad disappointed we didn’t get the win, obviously, but delighted that we’re through. We feel we can beat anyone.

“We’ll be watching the games carefully over the next couple of days, but resting up as well because we’ve had three tough games. We’ll be ready to go come Monday.

“There’s plenty [more to come]. We’re very critical of ourselves and always wanting to improve. The squad is so strong; people came in and did very well yesterday.

“So hopefully that will give Roy a little bit of a headache in a good way. It’s good that people keep knocking on the door. We’ve got a strong bench and we need the impact as we did in the Wales game.

“The only worry is when you’re not creating chances, but we have been creating chances. For one reason or another it has just not been finding the back of the net.

“But that’ll come. We’re through to the last 16 and that’s the main thing.”
