= 9th: Tommy Smith (7)
Equal with Terry McDermott is the Anfield Iron, Tommy Smith, whose best streak from 12 yards came in the earlier stages of his Liverpool penalty-taking career.
Eight-and-a-half years spanned his first and last spot-kicks for the Reds – both of which were missed.
But Smith hit his stride between 1967 and 1969, converting successively past Bolton Wanderers, Stoke City, TSV Munich, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, Chelsea and Burnley.
A miss against Leicester in the FA Cup denied him a much higher position in this list, given that he subsequently recovered to score five more in a row.
