Liverpool Ladies duo Danielle Gibbons and Mollie Green joined the LFC Foundation to pay a very special visit to Larkhill Hall Care Home.

The pair and club staff met with the residents who were then given the special opportunity to have their picture taken with the replica European Cup.

The LFC Foundation also visited the ‘Liverpool FC garden’ which is tended by Liverpudlian residents and stands at the front of the care home alongside an Everton FC garden tended for by the Evertonian residence.

Commenting on the visit, Ladies striker Green said: “It was great for myself and Danielle to be able to visit the local care home to meet all of the residents. The residents were really welcoming and interested in women’s football.

“It is great to be able give something back to the community and hopefully we can return to visit the care home again in the near future.”

Natalie Ravenscroft, regional activities executive at Ideal Carehomes said: “We were so pleased to welcome Danielle and Mollie from the Liverpool ladies team to Larkhill Hall.

"Many of our residents are keen Liverpool fans and it was their suggestion to use the Liverpool FC colours in the gardens for the Ideal in Bloom competition.

"Everyone had a great day and the memories made will stay with our residents and their families forever. It really did bring a smile to the faces of all who attended and that was a joy to see."
