LFC's global fanbase unites during coronavirus pandemic
Official Liverpool FC Supporters' Clubs from around the world have come together to support each other and their members during the coronavirus pandemic.
To help combat social isolation and ensure members remain connected during the outbreak, OLSCs have rallied together to host digital hangouts with the aim of supporting each other and remaining united during these difficult times.
OLSCs have been getting creative by delivering viewing parties to enjoy past games, hosting quizzes and drop-in chats, and also meeting up for a virtual ‘pint’ or ‘cuppa’ while sharing their love and passion for LFC.
The club has more than 300 OLSCs in more than 90 countries worldwide, each providing a valuable service to loyal Reds supporters living in the local area. The supporters’ clubs are a great way to meet fellow fans who are devoted to following LFC, wherever they live.
The club is continuing to support its global fanbase, staying connected with its international supporters by hosting weekly calls with OLSCs to support them, their members, and local communities during this challenging time.
Representatives from each OLSC are encouraged to join to discuss all things LFC, share their latest news and enjoy Q&As from special club guests including chief executive officer, Peter Moore; senior vice-president, digital media and marketing, Drew Crisp; director of LFC Foundation, Matt Parish; and former Liverpool star Jason McAteer.
OLSCs have also joined forces to support the club’s recently launched LFC Connect initiative by sharing digital postcards across their social media platforms and posting to members – letting fans know the Reds family is committed to providing support during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Over the coming weeks the club will be offering even more opportunities for OLSCs to stay connected globally.
